Preorder Boy on a Train for 99 cents!
It’s a big deal that I finished a book. I finished something creative. It’s DONE. It’s edited, proofread, submitted to the audiobook narrators, and on its way. You can even preorder it! I feel like I’m doing what Seth Godin preaches—shipping my creative work. I spent most of 2020 writing, and this is the first evidence that I have to share of it. I’m so proud of this little beauty and can’t wait to share Tate and Audrey’s story with you.
The basic story is inspired by a friend of mine, both the family situation and the boyfriend-who-gives-you-gifts situation. I texted her to ask if I could use her as a muse, and she said, “Sure! I’ve never been a muse before.” That’s kind of sums her up. Anyway, thank you, friend, for letting me riff off of some of the details of your life. Of course it’s still very much fiction!
I had a lot of fun writing this story. It’s cute and sexy and heartfelt and sweet. Also, Tate and Audrey are the youngest characters I’ve written (at least that I’ve based a story on). (They’re 18.) Tate is really amazing, and Audrey’s just doing her best. I think you’ll agree that they deserve their happy ever after.
I’m really happy to share this story with you and also to have you read all the other books in the series—fifteen in all! You can find out more about the series here: https://www.instagram.com/allamericanboyseries/

Here’s what Boy on a Train is about:
My best friend Tate and I have plans. Big plans.
1. Get the hell out of Merlot, California.
2. Ride trains around the world.
Though I have a secret third entry on the list of things I want to do ...
3. Tate Lemieux
But when my family gets a life-changing diagnosis just as I'm about to graduate, all my plans look like they’ll go up in smoke.
Right when I finally get the chance to be with the boy I’ve always loved ...
Will it end before it’s even begun?
