Daylight Savings Time

EDIT: Now that I’ve actually woken up and realized we move the clocks the opposite way of what I say below, I realize this post is all wrong. Oh, well. I’m human. I’m still not pissed at the time change. I guess I can get a move on to my dreams even faster without that pesky extra hour.

###

For the first time in my life, I’m looking forward to Daylight Savings Time.

Every year that I can remember, I thought that the day we turned the clocks so we could sleep in was the best day of the year, and I’ve been grouchy turning the clocks the other way. I remember one person telling me they were excited about springing forward, and I thought they were crazy. They also made me tired.

But now? Now I’m so looking forward to having a day with an extra hour in it.

I want that hour. I need that hour. I have so many things I want to do, and I rarely feel like I have enough time to do them. (Enoughness is, of course, one of my issues. I’m pretty sure Daylight Savings isn’t going to fix everything.)

But tomorrow, I’ll have the gift of an extra hour.

I’m hoping to make the most of it.

It’s interesting how this shift in mindset is really helping me.

Instead of dreading that time when I have to get up early for work, I’m super happy that I have more time to do whatever it is I want to do.

If you dread changing the clocks, perhaps this can work for you, too. Look at it as an opportunity to do something you love.
